Anxiety as a Superpower

  • West Point Grey Community Center 4397 West 2nd Avenue Vancouver, BC, V6R 1K3 Canada (map)

As anxiety continues to be an epidemic sweeping through our communities, we explore this often misunderstood state of yourself and the world.

In this workshop, create a shift in perspective around what it means to work within a system that is over-stimulated and hyper-sensitive. Embrace your power as a being with the ability to feel deeply and react intensely to the world around you and explore the incredible gifts you receive from a system that is hyper-aware. Explore tips and tools to work with the intense emotions that flow through you and ways to embrace and listen to the messages that your body is sending. The workshop combines parent-child activities, discussion among families, gentle movement, breath work and art.

Please note that this is workshop #2 of 4 in our West Point Grey Community Centre Workshop Series for adults & children (Gr 4-7). Our intention with offering a different workshop each month is to give families time to make small sustainable changes in between workshops while building a strong healthy community in the process!

This workshop will be facilitated by Carmen Ganne, founder of Wildflower Retreats - imawildflower.com
